It only allows water to flow when an active 12V current is pulling the magnetic plunger upward. It is designed to be hooked up to a pressurized municipal water line or a strong pump. It will not work efficiently on low-pressure, gravity-fed systems (like a simple rain barrel with no pump).How to Drive It with a MicrocontrollerAn Arduino or ESP32 cannot power this valve directly—the valve requires 12V and draws a significant amount of current (typically around 300mA – 500mA). You must use an intermediate component, such as a 5V Relay Module or a high-power MOSFET.
