Unlike the Stone Block, this is layered with Christmas cake spice, prune, resin, char, licorice and tar. In the mouth, the wine is everything the nose promised it would be: this wine personifies the Greenock Creek style. It is brooding, high octane, plush and opulent. Despite the high alcohols and profusion of oak throughout, the wines are crafted in a very particular manner and show this style of Barossa Valley Shiraz in some of its best lights. Old school.
