Whole berry fermented to ensure gentle extraction of flavours and matured in 40% new French oak for 16 months, the Botmaskop is a classically styled blend. Powerful, yet elegant and polished, it displays aromas of dark berry fruit, spice and cassis. The softness of tannins and balance in structure complete this wine on the palate. A recommended ageing potential of between 10 and 15 years. Over time, the wine develops in character, with beautiful tannins and rich aromas of autumn leaves and cedarwood. Serve at 16-18 Deg. Pair with lamb chops with rosemary and garlic, Coq au vin is also always a classic match with Bordeaux blends.
