Drink now to 2032 .91 pts Wine Advocate June 2025 In the bottle with the yellow wax capsule, the Taaibosch 2023 Stellenbosch Le Chant Blanc is all Chenin Blanc with fruit from vines that are 35 years old and older. The wine is aged on the fine lees in a combination of cement, old French oak barrel and stainless steel for 12 months. The bouquet is rich and floral with acacia flower, yellow rose and sweet honey. There is a citrusy note that gives extra brightness to the wine’s medium-bodied close. This wine is in the process of becoming part of the Old Vine Project (which seeks to develop a farming culture to care for young vines so they will grow old healthily). Production is 23,000 bottles. 2024-2029
